Accuracy of Using a New Semi-Automated Software Package to Diagnose Osteoporotic Vertebral Fractures in Adults

We evaluate the accuracy of a semi-automated software package for annotating landmark points on vertebral body outlines in dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) images adults. The aim study was to determine with which non-expert radiographer could use annotate vertebrae support osteoporotic fracture diagnosis and grading. In this study, 71 GE Lunar iDXA assessment (VFA) were used. Annotations performed by four observers. consisted 33 each vertebra between T4 L4 inclusive; 11 upper end-plate, 8 anterior side, lower 3 pedicle (429 image).
